Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OmniDetect ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

OmniDetect analyzes submitted text and explains observed signals, relevant passages, scope, and uncertainty. Results are probabilistic estimates, not proof of authorship or misconduct, and should be reviewed with the document and its context.

3. User Accounts

You may use limited features as a guest or create an account for full access. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service
• Do not submit content that violates any applicable laws
• Do not automate requests beyond your plan's rate limits
• Do not resell or redistribute detection results commercially without permission

5. Credits & Payments

Paid features are delivered as digital services through passes, credits, document-bound tasks, or subscriptions. A 7-Day Pass provides the credits and validity shown at checkout; when purchased from an eligible document result, it also includes that document's complete check and one revision recheck. You request immediate delivery when you confirm checkout. Once credits or a document task begin to be delivered, purchases are generally non-refundable, except for duplicate charges, non-delivery, material defects we cannot remedy, or refunds required by applicable law. Eligible requests should be sent to legal@omnidetect.ai within 7 days. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals and does not ordinarily refund the current billing period. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.

6. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: we keep the documents you submit so they stay in your history and so we can measure our own accuracy, you can delete any of them at any time, and we do not sell or publish them. See the Privacy page for the full terms, including the detection providers that receive your text.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI detection technology is inherently probabilistic — scores represent statistical estimates, not definitive judgments. OmniDetect does not guarantee 100% accuracy of detection results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OmniDetect is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Do not use a detection result as the sole basis for academic discipline, employment, legal, or other high-impact decisions. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party detection APIs (Winston AI, Sapling, ZeroGPT, etc.). We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or terms. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to the processing they perform.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
