We keep what you submit. You can destroy it whenever you want.
Your document is stored so it stays in your history and so we can measure our own detection accuracy against real writing. You can delete any document at any time, with or without an account, and deletion removes it — we do not keep a hidden copy. We do not sell or publish submitted text. The detection engines that analyse it are the only outside parties who receive it, and they are named below.
The only trace of your text is a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash, used solely for caching to avoid duplicate API charges. This hash cannot be reversed to recover your text.
Your text is never used to train AI models — not ours, not anyone else's. Detection engines receive your text for one-time analysis only.
OmniDetect runs on Vercel's edge network with TLS encryption for all data in transit. API keys are stored as encrypted environment variables, never in code.
We collect only what's necessary: email for authentication, scan metadata (scores, dates) for your history. No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. When you delete, we delete — no hidden retention periods.
OmniDetect is designed with GDPR principles in mind:
